It’s common to see fat loss when you replace low volume refined carbohydrates with high volume whole foods. Whether it was a low carb meal plan, a clean eating challenge or simple advice from your doctor that got you to replace packaged carbohydrates with whole food carbohydrates – if the message resonated with you enough to change your eating habits for the better – that’s all that matters. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But, I see people give labels like “low carb”, “Paleo”, and “clean eating” far too much power. It’s not the carbs that were the problem. It’s not that we’ve failed to “evolve enough” to tolerate it. It’s not even that the ingredients were the problem.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s as simple as being more full from the same 100 calories. ⁣⁣

Eating habits often change when people start to track macros because people want to see their carbohydrates, in this instance, go farther and work harder. That’s it. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Tracking macros represents a label free way to change your body shape and size – which is part of the many reasons why I love the approach and it works for so many former, chronic dieters. And stripping away the labels you put on your eating pattern to simply focus on the nutrition facts can be incredibly freeing. ⁣⁣
