comparison is the thief of my joy AND//OR competition feeds my soul

For me, the regular competition that’s built into Crossfit, even if it’s just against myself, makes me a better person. SERIOUSLY. My clients feel the same way – they would say they’re better partners and parents because they regularly seek opportunities to nurture their competitive side, to set goals, and to never settle.

That all said, under the “just right” circumstances, we can find ourselves in a comparison trap down a rabbit hole of Instagram photos from Jessica’s 2015 trip to Cabo 💭

Seek the right opportunities to exercise your competitive muscle. Girl, you don’t have to be either competitive or complacent – you can be both competitive and content.
